The Saint John Arts Centre is pleased to announce that Julie Whitenect will be the printmaker-in-residence at the Saint John Arts Centre from October 29th-November 6th, 2018. Julie will be working on a new body of work, consisting of a series of linocut prints. This project is made possible by funding from the Canada Council for the Arts.
During her residency, Julie will be holding an open studio on Wednesday, October 31st from 12pm- 8pm. The public is invited into the Saint John Arts Centre’s Print Studio to learn about this fascinating medium, watch Julie as she works, and engage in conversation about this series and the printing process.
Saint John Arts Centre’s Printmaking Residency Program offers support to artists through in-kind donation of studio space, materials, and promotions. During their residency, the Saint John Arts Centre works with artists to organize such public outreach initiatives as exhibitions, artist talks, workshops, and open studio sessions.
